Solid Rock Baptist Church Leadership

Solid Rock Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Joey Jones

Senior Pastor

Bro. Joey Jones was appointed to serve as Solid Rock Baptist Church's Senior Pastor in March of 2018. Prior to that, he served as Senior Pastor of Flewellyn Baptist Church in Springfield for 8 Years where under his leadership the church grew tremendously with additions, salvations, and baptisms. He has been blessed to serve in other great churches such as Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Nashville and Temple Baptist Church in White House, TN. Bro. Joey and his wife have a heart for planting churches. They planted White House Community and were instrumental in planting 3 churches in Africa. While pastoring churches, he has held positions with the Robertson County Baptist Association and the Nashville Baptist Association. He has served in full-time ministry for 30 years.

The attributes that best describe Bro. Joey as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Solid Rock Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.

Bro. Joey takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

He graduated from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in 1999 with a degree of Master of Theology.

His education has led him through Belmont University, Boyce Bible College, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Bro. Joey has been happily married for 35 to his wife, Lynn Jones. They have 2 children including their son Cory (and his wife Lynne) and daughter Ashley (and her husband Josh). They also have four grandchildren: Aiden, Gavin, Willow, and Oakley.

Isaac Cole

Worship Leader

Isaac Cole sang his first solo in church at the age of four.  He specialized in Christian country music, and loved to sing the material from a Christian country singer named Tommy Brandt who provided Isaac with tracks to his music so he could sing them in church.  He began acoustic guitar lessons at six years old.  He started singing at other churches as early as seven when he would do the intermission at the concerts of a local southern gospel group named "One in Spirit" lead by Von McCommons.  At the age of ten, Isaac and his sister, Mikalya, began doing concerts at many different churches, fairs and festivals.  He also started performing with a Christian band called "In Transition" where he started to learn lead guitar, and signing harmony.  That was also the first year he began attending the annual Inspirational Country Music Awards (ICM's) convention in Nashville, TN.  Isaac recorded his first Christian country CD called "Country Boy" at the age of eleven with Tommy Brandt as his producer in Madison, TN.  Isaac wrote his first Christian Country song at the age of twelve called "Cowboy Boots in Heaven".  He received his first award at the ICM's that year for "Youth in Music".  He asked for a banjo that Christmas, and in two weeks he started playing it in a cowboy church workship band lead by Von McCommons.  He played with the church worship band for six years until the age of eighteen when he first moved to Nashville.  Von would leave Isaac and Mikayla in charge of leading the worship service when he was on vacation.  He recorded his second Christian Country CD at thirteen called "Just a Kid", that had all co-written songs on it.  Many of his songs were released to Christian country radio stations, and "Just a Kid" was his first number one song.  Isaac also began fiddle lessons at thirteen.  He did a ten day church tour in southern California that Christmas with Dennis Agajanian, and Franklin Graham's son, Will, was delivering the sermons.  He was awarded the "New Artist of the Year" at the ICM's in 2014.  He auditioned for American Idol in 2015, and appeared on national television in January 2016 where he made it to the top 51.  He recorded his third CD right after that with a mix of both secular and Christian songs of which five were co-written.  "Where He Needs Her", written in memory of their maternal grandmother who died of breast cancer when they were five and eight, won another ICM award for "Best Duo Performance" with his sister Mikayla Lynn, and it also hit number one on the Christian Country Music Chart.

Isaac grew up on a 140-acre farm in northwestern Pennsylvania, in a Christian home.  He went to a Christian school in kindergarten, and then was homeschooled with Christian curriculum until his graduation from high school.  In 2018 he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music.  He accepted his first full time job as a multi-instrumentalist musician at Dollywood Theme Park for the 2019 Season.  At 21 years old he moved back to the Nashville area to continue to pursue his own music career, and is now playing locally and across the country as the Isaac Cole Band, while serving in his new local church of Sold Rock Baptist.

Skylar Denton

Children's Director

My name is Sky and I am very excited to be directing Solid Rock's children's ministry.  I was raised here in Greenbrier and have attended Solid Rock Baptist Church since I was 3 years old.  It feels surreal to now be directing the same ministry that played such a crucial role in my spiritual walk.  I have always loved working with children of all ages and backgrounds.  My passion has led me to work in preschools and school systems around Nashville and Clarksville, and I am currently a Registered Behavior Technician at an Autism Therapy Center.  I look forward to helping children cultivate their own personal relationship with Christ and to help them experience and share the Gospel.

Jessica Seiler

Nursery Staff

Hello there, my name is Jessica Seiler.

I am a nurse and have been since 2011.  I am currently in pediatrics and am going back to college to further my nursing career.  I have also been a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church for many years.  I volunteer in the rotation of children's church and help in the nursery or wherever needed.  I am married, with 2 rambunctious boys, who are involved in sports of all kinds.  Our family attends church regularly, and we have a small farm with goats and chickens.  Some things I enjoy are spending time with my family, anything outdoorsy, taking pictures, making memories, arts and crafts, drawing, painting, reading, exploring nature and all of God's great creation.  I adore animals, children and inspiring others through the faith, hope and love of Jesus Christ!  The best part about being here at Solid Rock is that you are not just a member, you are family!
