Solid Rock Baptist Church Leadership

Solid Rock Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Joey Jones

Senior Pastor

Bro. Joey Jones was appointed to serve as Solid Rock Baptist Church's Senior Pastor in March of 2018. Prior to that, he served as Senior Pastor of Flewellyn Baptist Church in Springfield for 8 Years where under his leadership the church grew tremendously with additions, salvations, and baptisms. He has been blessed to serve in other great churches such as Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Nashville and Temple Baptist Church in White House, TN. Bro. Joey and his wife have a heart for planting churches. They planted White House Community and were instrumental in planting 3 churches in Africa. While pastoring churches, he has held positions with the Robertson County Baptist Association and the Nashville Baptist Association. He has served in full-time ministry for 30 years.

The attributes that best describe Bro. Joey as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Solid Rock Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.

Bro. Joey takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

He graduated from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in 1999 with a degree of Master of Theology.

His education has led him through Belmont University, Boyce Bible College, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Bro. Joey has been happily married for 35 to his wife, Lynn Jones. They have 2 children including their son Cory (and his wife Lynne) and daughter Ashley (and her husband Josh). They also have four grandchildren: Aiden, Gavin, Willow, and Oakley.

Dana King

Worship Leader

Dana King, together with her family, leads SRBC in worship each Sunday.  They are thankful and excited to bring an offering of praise to the Father as we are instructed in Psalm 100.  "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.  Know that the Lord is God.  It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.  Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.  For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."

Amanda Mullins

Nursery

My name is Amanda Mullins. I went to MTSU and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. From there I went on to teach at the first nationally recognized early intervention program at the Susan Gray School on Vanderbilt’s Peabody Campus. I taught children with special needs alongside typically developing children. It was a blast! I’ve also taught Kindergarten in the Metro Nashville Public School system and I absolutely loved it! I really hope you drop your little one off with me at church and we’ll just play and make friends.
